Turret Press Operator – Watseka, IL
Pay: $18.00/hr
Shift: Full-time, 10-hour shift Monday – Friday, Saturdays as scheduled
Job Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturing company in Watseka, IL to hire a Turret Press Operator! This position is responsible for setting up and operating a CNC turret punch press machine to punch holes and create precise shapes in metal sheets according to blueprints and programming instructions. The ideal candidate will ensure product accuracy, perform quality checks, and maintain equipment for efficient production.
What You’ll Do:

Load raw materials onto turret press loader using material handling equipment

Select appropriate tooling and input programming instructions for part designs

Operate and monitor CNC turret press to ensure accurate cuts and feed rates

Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality

Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine punch sequences and tooling needs

Clean, lubricate, and perform minor maintenance on the turret press

Identify and report machine malfunctions or production delays to supervisors

Remove completed parts from sheet metal and maintain workflow efficiency

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Understanding of CNC programming (G-code and M-code) and machine operation principles

Ability to interpret blueprints and translate instructions into machine commands

Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machine issues

Effective communication skills to coordinate with programmers and supervisors
