Heavy Equipment Mechanic – $18-$22/hour
Location: Danville, IL
We’re looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join a busy scrap metal recycling team! If you have hands-on mechanical experience and enjoy working on a variety of equipment, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Maintain hydraulic cranes and electrical systems
-
Service roll-off containers and mobile equipment used in the yard

Perform maintenance on company trucks

Complete welding tasks as needed
-
Grease, clean, and inspect machinery components
What You Bring to the Table:

Experience using hand tools and trade tools
-
Ability to lift and move 50-75 lbs safely
-
Agility to climb and work on various machinery components
-
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while meeting high-performance standards
