2nd Shift Parts Cleaner
Our client in Rockford, a leader in steel distribution, is seeking a Parts Cleaner to join their 2nd shift. The Parts Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and preparing steel parts and materials to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards. This role plays a key part in supporting production and shipping operations by ensuring all parts are free of debris, properly finished, and ready for the next stage of processing. This position works Mon-Fri 4PM-1AM and pays $17.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare steel parts using appropriate tools and cleaning equipment.
- Remove oil, grease, dirt, rust, and other contaminants from parts.
- Inspect materials for defects, damage, or contamination and report issues to supervisor.
- Operate cleaning machinery, solvents, and hand tools such as grinders in a safe and efficient manner.
- Handle, move, and stage parts for production or shipping after cleaning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Job Qualifications:
- Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or parts cleaning preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and company procedures.
