1st Shift Machine Operator
Our client, a precision grinding and machining company specializing in manufacturing high-quality components for industrial customers, is looking for a Machine Operator to join their 1st Shift team. The machine operator plays a critical role in supporting grinding and machining operations by feeding parts into machines, setting up equipment, and monitoring production processes. If you are wanting to learn a new skill this is the position for you. This role works Mon-Fri 6AM-2:30PM and pay starts at $15 per hour. Job Responsibilities:
- Load and unload parts into manual and semi-automatic grinding/machining equipment as directed.
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure continuous and quality production.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Record production counts, inspect parts for quality, and report defects.
- Assist in deburring, cleaning, and staging parts for the next production stage.
Job Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, especially with manual or semi-automatic machines, is a plus.
- Ability to read job orders and follow verbal/written instructions.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, gauge).
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for extended periods.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
