1st Shift Metal Sorter
Our client in South Beloit, IL is looking for Metal Sorters! This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate for this position will be okay with manual labor and have a can-do attitude! Job Requirements:
- Sort and separate various types of scrap metal including ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
- Identify metals such as aluminum, copper, brass, steel, and stainless steel for proper recycling classification.
- Remove non-metal materials or contaminants from scrap loads.
- Assist with unloading incoming scrap materials and organizing them into designated areas.
- Work alongside equipment operators and yard personnel to ensure materials are processed efficiently.
- Perform general labor duties around the yard as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Willing to work outside
- General Labor
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for long periods of time
- Use a computer
