1st Shift Packing & Deburring Specialist
Our client, a leader in high-precision machined parts for aerospace and defense, is looking to add a Packing and Deburring Specialist to their team. This role is responsible for finishing, inspecting, and preparing precision-machined components for shipment. The hours for this position are Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM and pay starts at $17+ BOE. Job Responsibilities:
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined parts using hand tools, grinders, files, and deburring equipment
- Perform polishing, sanding, or finishing processes to meet customer specifications
- Handle small, precision components with care to maintain tight tolerances
- Identify surface defects or inconsistencies and notify supervisors as needed
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards commonly required in aerospace and precision manufacturing
- Carefully package finished parts to prevent damage during shipping
- Label, organize, and stage orders according to customer and company requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation for shipments and completed work orders
- Work closely with shipping/receiving to ensure timely order fulfillment
Job Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Previous experience in deburring, manufacturing, or machine shop environment preferred
- Ability to use inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Basic understanding of blueprints and tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Ability to handle small parts and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–50lbs
