Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, bilingual Supplier Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations through data-driven problem-solving, supplier quality management, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role focuses on reducing defects, improving product reliability, strengthening supplier performance, and ensuring consistent product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate has hands-on quality experience in a manufacturing environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

Production Quality: Analyze quality data, identify root causes, reduce defects, and evaluate process capability to improve manufacturing performance.

New Product Introduction: Lead quality planning, risk assessments, and validation activities to support successful product launches and transitions into production.

Supplier Quality Management: Conduct supplier audits, evaluate incoming materials, monitor supplier performance, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Field and Warranty Quality: Analyze warranty claims and service data to identify recurring issues and implement long-term corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Quality Systems and Compliance: Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality procedures through documentation, audits, and established quality practices.

Continuous Improvement: Apply quality tools such as FMEA, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and 8D problem-solving to improve processes and prevent recurring defects.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

More than two years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.

Previous Supplier Quality experience.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical prints.

Experience using SAP.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

Knowledge of quality tools, statistical analysis, ERP systems, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated, organized, and able to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.

Six Sigma certification or experience.

Lean Manufacturing training or experience.

Experience leading supplier corrective actions, audits, or continuous improvement projects.
