Team Leader – 1st Shift
Location: Georgetown, KY
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday plus 2 additional weekdays (4-day workweek, 10-hour shifts)
Pay: $17.50/hr starting pay
Pay Increase: Opportunity to increase to $19.00/hr upon hire-in and completion of required leadership training.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Team Leader to help oversee daily operations in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for assigning work, leading safety meetings, coordinating daily tasks, maintaining quality standards, and supporting team members throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
- Lead pre-shift and post-shift safety meetings
- Assign daily work and coordinate team activities
- Ensure work is completed safely and according to quality standards
- Monitor productivity and efficiency of assigned tasks
- Conduct safety audits and promote workplace safety
- Assist with Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
- Train and mentor team members
- Support housekeeping and 5S initiatives
Qualifications
- Strong attendance record
- Valid driver's license
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred
- No prior safety violations
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and lead by example
What We're Looking For
This is a working Team Leader position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading a team while also working alongside employees on the production floor. Strong communication, safety awareness, and leadership skills are essential.
