Manufacturing Technician – Industrial Production

Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to support industrial production processes involving technical ceramics and/or metals. This position plays a key role in operating production equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining efficient workflow within a team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with heavy machinery, following detailed work instructions, and contributing to a clean and safe production environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate complex and/or multiple production machines to manufacture parts according to work order specifications
  • Make machine adjustments as needed and communicate issues to appropriate personnel
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and customer standards; identify defects and recommend solutions
  • Transfer parts to the next stage of production using computer systems
  • Load, unload, stack, and transport materials using equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, or hoists
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including machines and tools
  • Assist with training new operators on production processes and procedures
  • Follow all safety requirements, including consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)

Experience

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience required
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (presses, cranes, or similar) strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Proficiency in reading both standard and metric measurements
  • Basic to intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Familiarity with advanced inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, SmartScope) preferred
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint interpretation
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, team-oriented environment
