Manufacturing Technician – Industrial Production
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to support industrial production processes involving technical ceramics and/or metals. This position plays a key role in operating production equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining efficient workflow within a team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with heavy machinery, following detailed work instructions, and contributing to a clean and safe production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate complex and/or multiple production machines to manufacture parts according to work order specifications
- Make machine adjustments as needed and communicate issues to appropriate personnel
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and customer standards; identify defects and recommend solutions
- Transfer parts to the next stage of production using computer systems
- Load, unload, stack, and transport materials using equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, or hoists
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including machines and tools
- Assist with training new operators on production processes and procedures
- Follow all safety requirements, including consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
Experience
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience required
- Experience operating heavy equipment (presses, cranes, or similar) strongly preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Proficiency in reading both standard and metric measurements
- Basic to intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Familiarity with advanced inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, SmartScope) preferred
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint interpretation
- Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, team-oriented environment
