Industrial Manufacturing Technician (Swing Shift)

Location: Lexington, KY
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Pay: Competitive + $2.50 Shift Differential


Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Industrial Manufacturing Technician to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves working with advanced equipment and processes to produce high-quality components in accordance with detailed work order specifications.

The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt to increasing responsibility while working on a swing shift.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate complex industrial equipment, including presses and overhead material handling systems
  • Perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
  • Inspect parts to ensure compliance with quality and customer specifications
  • Identify non-conforming products and communicate issues to appropriate personnel
  • Accurately transfer production data using computer systems
  • Load, unload, stack, and transport materials using appropriate equipment (hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Assist with training new team members on processes and procedures
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience required
  • Experience operating industrial or heavy equipment strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Understanding of standard and metric measurements
  • Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Familiarity with advanced measurement systems (e.g., CMM or similar) preferred
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team environment

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to train on day shift before transitioning to swing shift
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial setting and adhere to all workplace safety guidelines
