Manufacturing Technician – 1st Shift
Location: Winchester, KY
Pay: $17.50–$18.00/hr
Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Manufacturing Technician for a manufacturing facility in Winchester, KY.
This is a hands-on technical manufacturing position supporting production equipment, machine changeovers, tooling, troubleshooting, and quality. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and experience working around CNC or machining equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform machine changeovers, setups, and tooling replacements
- Change tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges according to production requirements
- Assist Production with troubleshooting machine and machining issues
- Monitor tooling and assist with scheduled tool changes
- Inspect parts and help identify quality or process issues
- Make minor adjustments to established machine programs, speeds, feeds, and settings as trained
- Assist with equipment alarms, machine recovery, and minor repairs
- Perform rework using manual or production equipment
- Prepare tooling for upcoming production needs
- Assist with maintaining tooling and inventory
- Support continuous improvement and 5S activities
- Assist Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production as needed
- Help train production team members on processes and basic machine troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of previous factory/manufacturing experience with CNC equipment preferred
- Previous machine setup, changeover, tooling, or machining experience is highly preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Basic understanding of machine programming preferred
- Strong math and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- Dependable attendance and a safety-focused attitude
Additional Experience That Would Be Helpful:
- CNC machine operation
- Machine setup/changeovers
- G-code or basic CNC programming
- Tooling, jigs, and fixtures
- Lathe or mill experience
- Welding
- Quality inspection and gauges
- Troubleshooting production equipment
- Preventive maintenance
- Blueprint or technical drawing experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
- Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, grasping, and repetitive hand/arm movement
- Ability to lift approximately 10–40 lbs.
- Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Ability to follow all required PPE and safety procedures
