Our client, a well-established fence company based in Ashland, is seeking a Bookkeeper/Finance Administrator to join their team!

This is a hands-on role managing financial transactions, payroll, reporting, and general office support. Ideal for someone detail-oriented with QuickBooks experience and a proactive approach in a seasonal small business environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm

Pay: $65,000–$75,000/year depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and reconcile invoices, payments, and bank statements

  • Prepare financial reports and oversee payroll processing

  • Maintain records in QuickBooks and support budgeting and job costing

  • Assist with tax preparation and compliance

  • Provide customer service: answer phones, greet walk-in clients, and assist with scheduling

  • Support general office operations, especially during peak seasons

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial administration

  • Proficient in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop), Excel, and general accounting principles

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Familiarity with payroll systems and basic HR compliance

  • Willingness to assist with office and customer service tasks as needed

  • Experience in construction, fencing, or landscaping industries (preferred)

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

  • Knowledge of job costing and contractor billing practices (preferred)
