Job Full Description
Our client, a well-established fence company based in Ashland, is seeking a Bookkeeper/Finance Administrator to join their team!
This is a hands-on role managing financial transactions, payroll, reporting, and general office support. Ideal for someone detail-oriented with QuickBooks experience and a proactive approach in a seasonal small business environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm
Pay: $65,000–$75,000/year depending on experience
Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable/receivable and reconcile invoices, payments, and bank statements

Prepare financial reports and oversee payroll processing

Maintain records in QuickBooks and support budgeting and job costing

Assist with tax preparation and compliance

Provide customer service: answer phones, greet walk-in clients, and assist with scheduling

Support general office operations, especially during peak seasons
Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial administration

Proficient in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop), Excel, and general accounting principles

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Familiarity with payroll systems and basic HR compliance

Willingness to assist with office and customer service tasks as needed

Experience in construction, fencing, or landscaping industries (preferred)

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

Knowledge of job costing and contractor billing practices (preferred)
