Human Resources/Payroll Manager

Our client, an established company in the food and consumer goods sector, is seeking a Human Resources/Payroll Manager to lead HR and payroll operations across multiple regional offices. This key role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with multi-state employment laws, and effective management of employee benefits for a team of 160 employees.

💵 $90,000–$105,000 base salary + 10% bonus + profit sharing
📅 Direct Hire – Full-Time Opportunity

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process bi-weekly payroll across multiple states

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations

  • Maintain employee records and manage PTO tracking

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes

  • Advise managers on HR policies and employee relations

  • Oversee benefits administration (health, dental, vision, retirement)

  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and serve as the main contact with benefits providers

  • Stay current with employment law changes and ensure compliance

  • Prepare and submit required reports to leadership and government agencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

  • 5+ years of HR and payroll management experience (multi-state preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and tax regulations

  • Proficiency with payroll systems (Paychex experience a plus)

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, CPP) preferred
