Commercial Laundry Service Technician
Location: Needham, MA
Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $26.00–$35.00/hour (based on experience) - Direct Hire position w/benefits
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Laundry Service Technician to service and repair washers, dryers, and related equipment at commercial locations. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with strong mechanical and electrical skills who enjoys working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and repair commercial washers, dryers, and laundry equipment at apartments, laundromats, hotels, athletic facilities, and other locations
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues through troubleshooting and testing
- Disassemble equipment to inspect components and identify defects
- Replace worn or defective parts and reassemble equipment to proper working condition
- Repair electrical wiring and components as needed
- Adjust pulleys, lubricate moving parts, and ensure optimal equipment performance
- Perform routine maintenance at assigned laundromat locations
- Operate a company vehicle to travel between service sites
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 240V (3-phase)
- Knowledge of basic electrical repair
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience reading electrical schematics and diagrams
- Proficiency using a digital multimeter
- Experience diagnosing and replacing commercial bearings
- Prior experience servicing commercial laundry equipment or similar machinery
