Job Summary: The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods. This role involves managing warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and optimizing workflow to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Supervision:

    • Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve high performance and productivity.
    • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring all duties are completed accurately and on time.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team effectiveness.
  2. Operational Oversight:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, sorting, storing, and dispatching goods.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation and replenishment.
    • Ensure accurate order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  3. Safety and Compliance:

    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure all warehouse operations comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or safety concerns.
    • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery.
  4. Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Monitor and analyze workflow and operational metrics to recommend and drive improvements.
  5. Inventory Management:

    • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Ensure accurate documentation of inventory transactions and maintain organized records.
  6. Communication:

    • Communicate effectively with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to coordinate operations and resolve issues.
    • Provide timely updates and reports to warehouse management regarding operational status and any issues.
  7. Customer Service:

    • Address and resolve any customer concerns or issues related to warehouse operations.
    • Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, with previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control practices.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and maintain safety certifications if required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
