Warehouse Driver (Non‑CDL) Job Description
Job Summary
The Warehouse Driver (Non‑CDL) is responsible for safely transporting goods between warehouse locations, customers, and vendors while supporting general warehouse operations. This role ensures timely deliveries, accurate order handling, and adherence to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles (vans, box trucks, or light-duty trucks) that do not require a CDL
- Load, transport, and unload goods in a safe and timely manner
- Verify delivery contents against invoices or packing slips
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely service
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Inspect vehicles daily and report maintenance or safety issues
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations (as applicable), and company policies
- Assist with warehouse duties such as picking, packing, staging, and inventory control
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and delivery vehicles
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Previous delivery driving or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment (forklift experience is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read maps, GPS systems, and delivery instructions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50–75 lbs regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and varying weather conditions
