Job Full Description
Responsible for ensuring that an organization's equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities are maintained safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. They lead maintenance teams, plan preventive maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, and manage maintenance budgets.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Supervising maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.
- Managing maintenance budgets and spare parts inventory.
- Implementing safety and regulatory compliance programs.
- Analyzing equipment failures and improving maintenance processes.
- Maintaining maintenance records and reports, often using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
