We’re a family-owned HVAC company based in Jenison, MI, and we’re looking for a reliable, hard-working HVAC Assistant to support our Lead Installer on residential and light commercial HVAC projects throughout West Michigan.
This is a great DIRECT HIRE opportunity for someone who’s mechanically inclined and eager to learn the trade. We’ll train the right candidate and help you grow your skills and experience — while working day shifts and being home every night.
🔨 What You’ll Do:
As an HVAC Installer Assistant, you’ll work directly under a Lead HVAC Installer on installation jobs across the area. Your duties will include:

Assisting with the installation of heating and cooling systems in residential and light commercial buildings

Handling tools, materials, and equipment on the job site

Helping to load and unload vans, set up work areas, and clean up after jobs
-
Cutting and assembling ductwork under supervision
-
Running parts and helping with minor wiring, piping, and component connections

Following safety guidelines and directions from the lead installer

Learning technical aspects of HVAC installation through hands-on experience

Interacting respectfully with homeowners and team members

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, motivated, and ready to grow in the HVAC field. Ideal candidates will have:

Some mechanical, construction, or HVAC experience (preferred but not required)

Willingness to learn on the job and take direction well

Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Jenison each day

A desire to pursue a long-term skilled trade career
