Express is hiring a shipping and receiving supervisor for a company in the Pinebelt!
Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving supervisor is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments in a warehouse or distribution facility. This role involves receiving deliveries, verifying shipments, preparing orders for shipment, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring products are handled safely and accurately.
Key Responsibilities

Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or packing slips.

Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors.

Prepare and package items for outgoing shipments according to company standards.

Generate shipping labels and documentation (bills of lading, packing slips, etc.).

Load and unload trucks using manual labor or equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.

Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse management systems.

Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations.

Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipments.

Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and warehouse regulations.

Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.

Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping software.

Ability to lift heavy items (typically 25–50 lbs).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications

Forklift certification.

Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).

Knowledge of shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, freight carriers).
