Express is hiring facility maintenance workers in Hattiesburg & Laurel!
- $14-16/hour
- Day Shift
- Weekly Pay
- Long Term & Full Time
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair major appliances, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, roofing, and other building systems.
- Perform general property maintenance, including painting, landscaping, irrigation, pool care, gutters, sidewalks, and ice/snow removal as required.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete repairs correctly and within established timeframes.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspect buildings, grounds, vacant units, and equipment for maintenance and safety concerns.
- Assist with unit turnovers, renovations, and maintaining the overall appearance and curb appeal of the property.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following company safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor maintenance supplies, tools, and inventory; assist with purchasing and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Communicate professionally with residents, staff, vendors, contractors, and supervisors while providing a high level of customer service.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in facility maintenance, property maintenance, building maintenance, or a related hands-on trade.
- EPA Type I and II certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance required.
- Basic knowledge and safe use of hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic computer skills for work orders, maintenance records, and inventory tracking.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs., use ladders, work at heights and in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding maintenance tasks.
- Ability to perform maintenance and repair work safely without endangering themselves, residents, coworkers, or others.
