Job Description
- Assist with daily cafeteria operations, including food preparation, serving, dishwashing, and general kitchen support.
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, menus, and established food safety standards.
- Serve meals and assist with portion control to ensure accurate and consistent food service.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain proper food temperatures and follow all food safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling procedures.
- Keep kitchen areas, serving stations, dining areas, and dishwashing stations clean and organized.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and kitchen supplies.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and assist with additional cafeteria duties as needed.
Primary Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout food preparation, serving, and dishwashing areas.
- Restock food stations, serving supplies, and kitchen inventory as needed.
- Follow proper procedures for food storage, labeling, and handling.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
- Communicate supply shortages, equipment issues, or other concerns to the supervisor.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to support daily cafeteria operations.
