Express Employment Professionals is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join a local company in Sikeston, MO.
The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining clean, organized, and welcoming spaces while delivering quality work and exceptional service.
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas, replenishing supplies, and ensuring facilities meet cleanliness and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, offices, common areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, fixtures, mirrors, and high-touch areas.
- Change linens, make beds, and replace towels as required.
- Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly.
- Replenish cleaning products, toiletries, paper products, and other supplies.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged property, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Follow established cleaning procedures, schedules, and quality standards.
- Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Maintain organized storage areas and cleaning carts.
- Ensure compliance with all company and client safety policies.
- Provide courteous and professional interactions with guests, residents, customers, and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Experience in hotels, healthcare facilities, offices, or residential cleaning is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment.
- Ability to push carts and move cleaning equipment as needed.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting daily cleaning goals.
