Express Employment Professionals is hiring a General Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Technician for a leading heavy‑industrial operation in the Flathead Valley.
This is a high‑paying, hands‑on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.
Position: Industrial Maintenance Technician (Millwright)
Schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM (10.5‑hour shifts, 30‑minute unpaid lunch)
Pay Rate: $26.36/hr
Supervision: Works under the Maintenance Supervisor and Lead Millwright
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures independently
- Install, maintain, and repair sawmill machinery and production equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns quickly and safely to minimize downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly
- Work with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and production systems
- Assist with light welding and metal fabrication
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and maintain a strong safety mindset
- Travel between 7 local sites using your own vehicle
What You Bring
- 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and basic industrial electrical troubleshooting
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Experience in sawmills, lumber mills, or heavy industrial environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
- Must be 18+ and supply your own basic hand tools
- Reliable attendance and commitment to safety
