Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Full Build Technician for a respected firearm‑component manufacturer in the Flathead Valley.
This is a long‑term opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision craftsmanship, enjoys hands‑on mechanical work, and wants to grow within a highly regulated, detail‑driven industry.
Position: Full Build Technician
Pay Rate: $20/hr starting
Schedule: Full‑Time
Supervision: Works under a Lead, Trainer, and Supervisor
What You’ll Do
- Perform assembly and finishing work on firearm components, including gun stocks
- Operate hand tools and machining equipment such as drills, lathes, mills, grinders, sanders, chisels, scrapers, and more
- Grind, sand, polish, and finish parts to correct defects and prepare for final finishing
- Apply primer and paint coatings to components
- Read and interpret blueprints and job orders to meet exact specifications
- Set up and operate machines to cut, shape, and fit wood, composite, and metal materials
- Record production and processing information accurately
- Ensure all firearms and components meet strict quality and regulatory standards
What You Bring
- Knowledge of firearms and how they operate
- Experience using hand and power tools, including drills, lathes, mills, grinders, sanders, and metalworking tools
- Basic mechanical, woodworking, metalworking, or composite‑working skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to precision
- Proven ability to complete tasks thoroughly and accurately
- High school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Frequent use of hand tools and machining equipment
- Ability to lift, move, and manipulate materials as needed
Work Environment
- Hands‑on production and manufacturing setting
- Use of finishing, sanding, machining, and assembly equipment
- Highly regulated environment requiring strict compliance
Background Requirements
- Clean background required
- Minor traffic violations (e.g., speeding or no insurance) may be acceptable
