Position Summary
As a Hod Carrier, you will play a key role in keeping projects moving by preparing materials, transporting supplies, and assisting skilled tradespeople. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires consistency, effort, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Mix mortar and prepare materials for masons
- Transport bricks and blocks using a handheld hod up scaffolding
- Maintain a steady supply of materials to ensure continuous workflow
- Set up and organize work areas
- Assist with basic labor tasks such as:
- Job site clean-up
- Cutting bricks
- Supporting re-pointing and jointing work
- Follow safety guidelines while working on scaffolding and active job sites
Qualifications
- No experience required – willing to train the right candidate
- Previous masonry or construction experience is a plus (higher pay possible)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
