Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Serviceman

Pay: $28.43 - $34.56 per hour

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Serviceman for a local company. We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual with mechanical aptitude who takes pride in maintaining equipment and keeping operations running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Fuel and service vehicles and heavy equipment
• Perform oil changes, greasing, filter changes, and routine maintenance
• Inspect equipment for rust, corrosion, worn parts, and damage
• Pressure wash and clean equipment
• Change tires and install/remove tire chains
• Make repairs using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Create repair lists based on equipment inspections
• Maintain filter inventory and organize delivered parts
• Sweep and clean the wash rack and work areas
• Operate equipment to test repairs and ensure proper performance
• Assist with painting vehicles and equipment when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience preferred
• Basic tool set required for mechanical work
• Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and repair
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a shop and outdoor environment
• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and climbing
• Ability to safely lift and move parts, tools, and equipment as needed
