Truss Builder
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Truss Builder for a local company!
Are you reliable, hardworking, and safety-minded? We are seeking motivated individuals to join a fast-paced production team building trusses and other wood products. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on construction experience. Knowledge of framing or construction is a plus, but no previous experience or diploma is required.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply!
Pay: $23.00/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Assemble trusses and other building components according to specifications.
- Place parts in proper position and secure using bolts, clips, screws, adhesives, and other fasteners.
- Measure and cut materials to required dimensions.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and production equipment safely.
- Inspect products and remove defective materials as needed.
- Work at various stations based on production demands.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Construction or framing knowledge preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Continuous standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Frequent lifting of 50-100 lbs.
- Continuous lifting and moving of materials up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
