Planer Operator

Pay
Job Responsibilities
- Relieve and fill in for planer department employees during breaks, vacations, sick leave, and other temporary absences
- Assist in a variety of planer mill operations, including production support, lumber handling, banding, stacking, clean-up, and forklift operation
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and production standards
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient mill operations
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience operating machinery is preferred
- Familiarity with lumber grades and quality standards is helpful
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely in a production environment
- Good depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and eyesight required for operating equipment
- Ability to perform physical work in an industrial setting
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Requirements
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must successfully complete a WorkSTEPS physical evaluation
