Molding Shop Assistant
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Molding Shop Assistant for a local manufacturing company!
We are seeking a motivated individual to join a growing production team. This position is ideal for someone with previous manufacturing experience who is looking to expand their skills in a hands-on environment. Injection molding experience is a plus, but not required. The right candidate will be dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.
Pay
- $18.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE
Schedule
- 20-40 hours per week
- Hours may vary based on production demands and customer orders
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and operation of injection molding machines
- Install molds and dies according to work order specifications
- Monitor machine settings including temperature, pressure, and cycle times
- Load plastic pellets and materials into machine hoppers
- Remove finished products from molds and inspect for quality
- Trim excess material from molded parts
- Sort, count, and package finished products for shipment
- Assist with mixing plastic materials and color pigments as needed
- Grind and recycle scrap plastic material for reuse
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Plastic injection molding experience is a plus but not required
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on production needs
