Mechanical Engineer
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Mechanical Engineer II for a local manufacturing client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys taking projects from concept through production while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Pay: $80,000 - $95,000/year
Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complete 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
- Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production-ready documentation
- Collaborate with electrical, IT, production, and project management teams throughout the design process
- Perform engineering analysis, stress calculations, and product testing to validate designs
- Support product improvements, design changes, and manufacturing optimization
- Communicate with vendors and stakeholders to obtain specifications and troubleshoot design issues
- Ensure projects are completed accurately and within established timelines
- Assist with technical drawings and models for proposals and new projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (ABET-accredited preferred)
- 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency with SolidWorks modeling, drawings, and file management
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and product design principles
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments
- Limited travel may be required
