Hod Carrier
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Hod Carrier for a local masonry company. This is a hands-on labor position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a skilled construction team. No experience is required, but candidates with masonry or construction experience may be considered for higher pay.
Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time
Job Responsibilities
- Support bricklayers and masons by preparing and delivering materials throughout the workday
- Mix mortar and maintain a steady supply of materials for masonry crews
- Transport bricks, blocks, and mortar using a handheld hod and scaffolding
- Set up and organize work areas to promote an efficient workflow
- Assist with cutting bricks and other basic masonry tasks
- Perform general labor duties, including job site cleanup
- Assist with re-pointing and jointing work as needed
Qualifications
- No experience required - willing to train the right candidate
- Reliable, hardworking, and motivated with a strong work ethic
- Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
- Construction or masonry experience is a plus
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, including bricks and mortar
- Comfortable climbing scaffolding and working at heights
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
