Dispatch Coordinator

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Dispatch Coordinator for a local company. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional with strong leadership and communication skills to oversee daily dispatch operations, fleet coordination, and delivery scheduling. Pay: $27.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate product deliveries to ensure timely service
• Route deliveries and assign appropriate vehicles based on job site requirements
• Ensure trucks are loaded within legal and safe weight limits
• Keep customers informed on delivery schedules and status updates
• Coordinate fleet maintenance and schedule repairs as needed
• Address vehicle safety concerns and direct equipment to service facilities
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and federal transportation requirements
• Monitor driver certifications, CDL licenses, and medical card expirations
• Schedule and track equipment training for drivers
• Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of drivers and material handlers
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and data entry
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, vendors, and internal departments

Qualifications

• Previous dispatch experience preferred
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry, and scheduling software
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple service needs simultaneously
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout office and yard environments as needed
• Frequent use of computers, phones, copiers, and fax machines
