Maintenance Supervisor
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for a local client. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing facility maintenance operations while supervising a team of maintenance and custodial employees. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and capable of balancing supervisory responsibilities with daily maintenance and repair tasks.
Pay
$20.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the general upkeep of school facilities and supervise two maintenance/custodial employees. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and directing maintenance activities while ensuring school buildings remain clean, safe, secure, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the work of two maintenance/custodial employees
- Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of school facilities
- Perform daily cleaning, maintenance, and repair tasks as needed
- Plan, schedule, and assign maintenance projects and work orders
- Coordinate with school administrators to schedule building repairs and maintenance projects
- Prepare cost estimates for maintenance and repair work
- Assist with maintenance budget preparation and monitoring
- Ensure all school buildings are properly secured at the end of each shift
- Perform repairs on buildings, equipment, and facility systems
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas throughout the facility
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established procedures
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, building repair, or facility management experience preferred
- Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Knowledge of general building maintenance, repairs, and custodial practices
- Reliable work ethic and attention to detail
Requirements
- Must pass a background check
- Must successfully complete fingerprinting requirements
