Job Description

Pick/Pack Associates are responsible for fulfilling orders by picking and packing items accurately. This role involves verifying that the names and product descriptions on packing slips match the items being shipped. You’ll be working in a fast-paced fulfillment center, with packing being a key aspect of our operations. We are seeking flexible, team-oriented individuals who can adapt to working with different clients and in various areas as needed to meet the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Match packing slips to shipping labels.
2. Verify the correct products and quantities based on packing slips and master pick tickets.
3. Collaborate effectively with Managers, Leads, and Packers.
4. Accept feedback and learn through constructive criticism.
5. Achieve or exceed the designated Orders Per Hour (OPH) set by Production Management.
6. Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, with minimal absences.
7. Pick products from designated locations.
8. Build pallets, including wrapping, taping, and ensuring proper presentation.
9. Load pallets onto trucks using pallet jacks.
10. Assemble gaylords (large containers for shipping).
11. Keep the work area organized and clean.

Required Qualifications:

1. Must be able to read and write.
2. Strong attention to detail.
3. Able to operate a tape gun or tape machine.
4. Able to stand or walk for up to 10 hours a day.
5. Availability to work up to 10 hours a day.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
2. Basic understanding of the English language.
3. High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

• This position is based in Wayne, NJ, within a warehouse setting.
• Environmental conditions include:
  • Moderate noise levels.
  • Indoors with varying temperatures based on weather.

Physical Requirements:

• Vision: Must be able to see well enough to read labels, product details, and use a computer.
• Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate and respond to warnings from equipment.
• Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Mobility: Must be able to operate warehouse machinery and move around the facility.
• Lifting: Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs.
• Hand Mobility: Must have dexterity to open and seal packaging, use a keyboard, and operate phones.
