Job Full Description

We have a client seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to lead our culinary offerings with a focus on fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients—many of which are grown right on the farm. The Chef will oversee menu planning, food preparation, staff supervision, and kitchen operations for our farm-to-table kitchen, festivals, catering events, and retail food services.  

Pay is depending on experience.  Opportunity for direct hire for the right candidate!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design seasonal menus highlighting fresh produce and farm products

  • Prepare and present meals for daily operations, events, and festivals

  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and teamwork

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen following all health and safety standards

  • Monitor inventory and coordinate with farm staff for fresh ingredient availability

  • Support event planning with customized catering menus for weddings, school tours, and corporate gatherings

  • Minimize food waste and manage kitchen budget effectively

  • Engage with guests during events to promote farm-to-table awareness and culinary experiences


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef, preferably in a farm-to-table or seasonal kitchen

  • Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills

  • Deep knowledge of fresh produce, seasonal cooking, and food safety practices

  • Ability to create innovative dishes while honoring traditional favorites

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, outdoor, and event-driven environment

  • Capable of handling large volumes during peak farm seasons and festivals


Preferred:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience

  • ServSafe or other food safety certification

  • Experience in catering, banquets, or event-based cooking

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
