Refurb Mechanic
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refurb Mechanic to support the repair, customization, and maintenance of large vehicles. This hands-on position involves mechanical and electrical work, installation of equipment, troubleshooting, and refurbishing vehicle interiors and components.
The ideal candidate has mechanical experience, strong attention to detail, and enjoys working with vehicles, tools, and specialized equipment in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Vehicle Upfit & Installation
- Perform mechanical and electrical installations on large vehicles.
- Install lighting systems, equipment, wiring, and vehicle components.
- Assist with modifications and customization projects.
- Read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and installation guidelines.
- Ensure completed work meets quality and safety standards.
Repair & Refurbishment
- Perform basic diagnostics and troubleshooting of vehicle systems.
- Assist with repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Complete interior and exterior refurbishment work.
- Support paneling, assembly, and finishing tasks.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and functionality.
Safety & Quality
- Follow all safety procedures and workplace guidelines.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate issues and project updates with team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous mechanical, automotive, electrical, or related experience preferred.
- Familiarity with vehicle systems and basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive, diesel, electrical, or mechanical repair.
- Experience with vehicle wiring or accessory installation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
