Schedule: Monday to Friday, with evening and weekend events

Our client is looking for a creative, organized and people-focused Marketing & Event Coordinator to support marketing, tourism and event initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Outreach

  • Drive brand visibility by creating and managing marketing campaigns

  • Promote membership benefits and community engagement through direct outreach

  • Analyze marketing performance and suggest improvements

  • Help execute strategic plans to increase awareness, memberships and advertising revenue

  • Write compelling website and media content

  • Track and report on website, social media and other marketing metrics

Social Media Management

  • Create, schedule and post engaging content across all major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube)

  • Collaborate on paid campaigns and promotions

  • Engage with followers and monitor online conversations

  • Develop content calendars and track analytics to grow audience

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Plan and execute events such as galas, awards, leadership programs and educational series

  • Coordinate ribbon cuttings, grand openings and promotional celebrations

  • Manage event budgets and sponsorship opportunities

  • Work with venues, vendors and volunteers to ensure smooth operations

  • Maximize promotion to drive attendance and community involvement


Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field

  • At least 1 year of experience in marketing, events or communications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email platforms and social media tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Digital marketing, website management and social media expertise

  • Proven project management and multitasking abilities

  • Familiarity with Schuyler County and the Finger Lakes region is a plus

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
