Customer Advocate & Inside Sales Manager
Location: Horseheads NY 14845
Pay Rate: $24 per hour
Schedule: Full Time | Day Shift
Employment Type: Non-Exempt

Job Overview:
An established manufacturer in Horseheads is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Advocate to join its team. This position is responsible for maintaining and developing customer relationships, managing the order lifecycle from receipt through shipment and invoicing, and supporting inside sales functions. The role also includes general office responsibilities and cross-functional support in accounting and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts by handling inquiries, orders, scheduling, and follow-ups

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness

  • Enter and manage customer orders including blanket orders and production scheduling

  • Coordinate internal quoting processes and track the status of quotes and orders

  • Support inside sales by leveraging purchasing history and market data to identify opportunities and execute strategies to grow revenue

  • Maintain accurate documentation including customer files, order records, and manufacturing drawings

  • Submit invoices, track customer releases, and update ERP and CRM systems as needed

  • Provide administrative support in areas such as accounting, AR/AP, expenses, and procurement

  • Prepare materials and coordinate logistics for customer site visits and scheduled travel

  • Assist with general office duties including answering phones, filing, and data entry

  • Comply with ISO-9001 standards and company policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university

  • Experience in customer service, inside sales, or project coordination

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with QuickBooks and CRM or ERP systems preferred

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing priorities

Additional Information:

  • Some domestic travel may be required (less than 20 percent)

  • This position requires sitting for extended periods, with occasional standing, lifting, and light physical activity
