Member Service Representative
Location: Chambersburg, PA
Pay: $17.00 – $17.75/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
A well-established financial institution is seeking a full-time Member Service Representative to join its team in the Chambersburg, PA area. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with members while providing quality financial services in a professional, team-oriented environment.
Position Summary
The Member Service Representative is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by assisting members with transactions, answering questions, and promoting products and services that meet their financial needs. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide outstanding service by answering member inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner

Process a variety of cash handling transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures

Promote and explain beneficial products and services to meet member needs

Maintain and update account information with accuracy

Balance daily transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed

Support additional projects or duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Prior teller or customer service experience is helpful but not required; full training provided

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail

Basic math skills and technical aptitude, including familiarity with Microsoft programs

Cash handling experience preferred
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Ability to lift more than 15 pounds

Comfort working in a moderately loud, fast-paced environment

Regular use of a computer and ability to adjust vision between close and long range
