Position: Director of Information Technology & HR Systems
Location: Elmira, NY
Schedule: First Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $110,000 – $160,000 annually, depending on experience
Role Summary
We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify a Director of Information Technology & HR Systems to guide enterprise technology initiatives across multiple locations. This leadership role oversees IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and digital strategy while ensuring technology aligns with operational and business objectives.
The Director will be instrumental in supporting organizational growth, including technology planning for acquisitions, system harmonization, and scalability across domestic and international operations. This role requires a leader who is both strategic and hands-on, capable of driving results while supporting day-to-day IT operations.
Primary Responsibilities

Establish and lead the organization’s overall technology roadmap in support of business goals

Direct cybersecurity programs, including risk assessment, prevention, response planning, and compliance oversight

Manage enterprise IT operations such as networks, servers, applications, and end-user support across multiple sites

Lead technology planning and execution during mergers and acquisitions, including system evaluations and integrations

Collaborate with executive leadership to advance automation, system efficiency, and digital improvements

Ensure adherence to data protection standards and information security regulations

Oversee enterprise platforms including ERP systems, collaboration tools, and internal applications

Manage IT budgets, vendor partnerships, licensing agreements, and service providers

Develop and maintain IT standards, policies, and governance practices

Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing IT team

Track system performance metrics and evaluate technology ROI

Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline required

Advanced degree or MBA preferred
Experience & Skills:
-
Minimum of 10 years in progressive IT leadership roles, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment

Demonstrated experience managing global IT operations and cybersecurity frameworks

Proven involvement in IT due diligence and system integration for acquisitions

Strong working knowledge of ERP platforms (JD Edwards or comparable systems), networking, and cloud technologies

Ability to translate business needs into effective technology solutions

Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities

Experience working with geographically distributed or international teams preferred
