Warehouse Order Picker
Location: Horseheads, NY
Schedule: Day Shift
Pay: $20–$21 per hour (depending on experience)
Position Overview
This position supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, prepared, and ready for shipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an active warehouse environment that relies on both forklift operation and barcode technology.
Essential Duties
- Select, confirm, and prepare outgoing orders using pick lists and scanning systems
- Utilize barcode scanners to track inventory movement and verify order accuracy
- Safely operate a forklift to move products throughout the warehouse
- Load, unload, stage, and organize materials for shipping or storage
- Wrap, label, and secure products to meet shipping requirements
- Monitor inventory levels in pick locations and assist with restocking as needed
- Perform routine material handling tasks, including lifting, stacking, and sorting
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety guidelines
- Meet daily productivity expectations while maintaining accuracy and quality
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse environment (required)
- At least 1 year of experience using barcode scanning systems (required)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
