Job Title: Security Systems Technician

Pay: $18–$23 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Security Systems Technician to support the installation, programming, testing, and maintenance of security systems. This role focuses on ensuring video surveillance, access control, intrusion alarm, and fire alarm systems are installed to applicable codes and function effectively to protect people and property.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Service
- Install, service, and troubleshoot:
- IP and analog camera systems (CCTV)
- Access control systems (card readers, door hardware, and controllers)
- Intrusion alarm systems (wired and wireless)
- Fire alarm systems
- Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (CAT5/6, coax, fiber, composite)
- Mount cameras, control panels, keypads, door hardware, and sensors
- Program and configure systems according to project requirements
- Perform testing and ensure systems are operating properly
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CCTV, access control, and/or alarm systems
- Knowledge of low-voltage wiring and terminations
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and system layouts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of security systems installation or service experience
- Experience working on ladders and lifts
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- Ability to work in ceilings, crawl spaces, and confined areas
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Work Environment
- Commercial and industrial job sites
- Indoor and outdoor work
- Occasional after-hours or on-call service may be required
