Pay: $25 – $35 per hour, based on experience

Job Description:
A local company in the Corning, NY area is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to join their team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC systems
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently
- Install new HVAC equipment, ductwork, and system components
- Test airflow, refrigerant levels, and electrical systems
- Replace defective parts including motors, compressors, and valves
- Respond to emergency service and repair calls as needed
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and maintenance recommendations
- Maintain accurate service records and invoices
- Follow all safety procedures and industry standards
Requirements:
- Previous HVAC experience required
- EPA Certification required for handling refrigerants
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, thermodynamics, electrical schematics, and mechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools
- Valid driver’s license preferred
