Component Fabricator
$18.00/Hour - $24.00/Hour
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions.
- Read and understand dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication specifications.
- Measure, mark, and cut raw materials including metal, plastic, and other materials.
- Select the appropriate materials, tools, and equipment for each project.
- Perform fabrication processes including welding (MIG, TIG, and Stick), bending, punching, rolling, and machining.
- Fit and assemble components using welding, fasteners, or adhesives.
- Deburr, sand, grind, and finish parts to meet quality standards.
- Inspect completed components using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Verify finished products meet specifications and quality requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of fabrication equipment and tools.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with additional fabrication or production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating industrial fabrication equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Welding and basic machining experience.
- Strong math and measurement skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment while following all safety standards.
