Pre-Press/Print Production Assistant

Location: Elmira, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $16 per hour

We are looking for a detail-oriented Pre-Press/Print Production Assistant to help manage the production of drawings and graphics. Much of the work will involve preparing digital files for print and ensuring the final product meets customer and designer expectations.

Experience with specific printers, scanners, and copiers is helpful, but training will be provided on the equipment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare digital files and drawings for print production
Manage print production schedules to ensure jobs are completed on time
Operate printers, scanners, copiers, and other print production equipment
Review finished products for quality and accuracy
Ensure colors, materials, and finished products meet customer and designer expectations
Assist with print production and related tasks as needed
Maintain an organized and efficient production area
Communicate with team members regarding production schedules and priorities

Qualifications:

Previous experience in the printing industry or knowledge of print processes is a plus
Strong attention to color and detail
Practical ability to operate print and copy equipment
Knowledge of printing processes and related materials
Strong organizational and communication skills
Good time management
Ability to take initiative and willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively and communicate with a team
Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced production environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
