Buyer
Pay: $28 - $35 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to oversee production planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for ensuring on-time customer delivery, optimizing production efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery requirements.
- Create and maintain production plans, work orders, and MRP activities within the ERP system.
- Monitor production workflows and resolve scheduling or supply issues.
- Manage inventory levels, finished goods stocking strategies, and product lifecycle planning.
- Lead demand and supply planning processes to ensure capacity aligns with forecasted demand.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve results.
- Identify resource, capacity, and investment needs while proactively managing supply risks.
- Maintain product master data and ensure ERP system accuracy.
- Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership teams to improve operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in manufacturing supply chain, production planning, or operations management.
- Strong ERP and data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred:
- APICS certification.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification.
- Experience leading process improvements and organizational change.
