Electrical Control Panel Assembler
Pay: $25.00–$29.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of electrical assembly, control panel wiring, or related electrical experience and be comfortable working independently to build high-quality panels from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to prints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications
- Independently build standard control panels from prints and schematics
- Install DIN rail, wire duct, wire-way covers, and electrical components
- Layout and mount components within control panels and enclosures
- Drill, tap, cut, and modify sub-panels and enclosures as needed for component installation
- Select appropriate hardware, drill sizes, and mounting methods
- Install pre-processed wire kits and correctly interpret printed wire identification
- Hand-wire panels directly from electrical schematics
- Perform manual crimping of terminals, ferrules, and common lug sizes using approved tools
- Use basic hand tools, power tools, and torque tools safely and accurately
- Verify proper wire routing, separation, labeling, termination, and torque
- Maintain high workmanship standards for panel cleanliness, organization, and overall quality
- Inspect completed work to ensure panels are ready for quality control
- Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures
- Assist with training or supporting other electrical assembly employees as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of electrical assembly, control panel wiring, or related electrical experience required
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
- Experience with electrical control panel assembly and point-to-point wiring
- Experience drilling, tapping, and performing basic mechanical fabrication
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, crimping tools, and torque tools
- Basic working knowledge of electrical standards such as NEMA, NEC, UL, and IEC
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent required
