Leasing Agent
Location: Rochester, NY
Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a friendly, organized, and motivated Leasing Agent to join a residential property management team in Rochester, NY.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, with experience in leasing, property management, or a related field. This position is responsible for assisting prospective residents, processing rental applications, coordinating move-ins, and providing excellent service to current residents.
Key Responsibilities

Show available apartments to prospective residents and answer questions about the community.

Assist with leasing activities, rental applications, and resident move-ins.

Process applications, verify applicant information, and maintain accurate records.

Respond to inquiries from prospective and current residents by phone, email, and in person.

Prepare lease agreements, renewals, and other required documentation.

Assist with annual and interim resident recertifications as needed.

Coordinate with maintenance staff regarding apartment readiness and resident requests.

Maintain accurate resident files and leasing documentation.

Assist with marketing available apartments and maintaining occupancy goals.

Follow Fair Housing regulations and property management policies.

Provide administrative support to the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous leasing, property management, office administration, or customer service experience preferred.

Experience with affordable housing, HUD, or Section 8 programs is a plus.

Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Experience with RealPage, OneSite, or similar property management software preferred.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced office environment.

Professional, dependable, and comfortable working directly with residents and applicants.
