Job Full Description
Production Worker $16-$18
Summary: Builds aluminum frames using extruded profiles, applies glass using adhesives and installs various handles and actuators. Also assembles and installs various apparatus and less complicated subassemblies.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs basic production of transit door leaf and less complicated sub-components including preparation of parts, actual production per engineering drawings and specifications, and packaging of the product to required specifications.
- Utilizes documentation such as production drawings, wiring schematics and work instructions both written and verbal.
- May perform fabricating, crimping, drilling and some mechanical/ wiring installations.
- Self-inspects work throughout the production process.
- May be assigned to high-speed production group.
- Maintains neat and orderly work area to ensure efficiency and no safety hazards.
- Meets all quality, quantity, and established manufacturing practices to satisfy customer requirements.
- Computer literate and basic software operations needed to perform job duties, calculations, and testing.
- Assist in shipping, receiving and inventory duties when specified and needed.
- Lifting – up to 30 lbs – bending, stooping, reaching on a continuous basis throughout the workday.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent / GED
Strong Employment History
Valid driver's license required.
Must pass a drug, alcohol and background check.
Experience:
- Production/ Manufacturing: 1 year or equivalent viable, proven experience.
- High mechanical aptitude with experience in the use of schematics, diagrams, calibration, torques and tolerances.
- Past experience with store front materials, and/or glass & glazing preferred but not necessary.
- Proficient in the use of common hand and power tools.
