Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is searching for an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our team.
Essential Job Functions: (other duties may be assigned).
- Maintains electrical/electonic devices that provide power for plant distirbution, machines, equipment and other gear.
- Uses preventative and corrective maintenance techniques to diagnose, isolate and repair electrical problems throughout the facility.
- Uses test instruments, gear and equipment to verify proper electrical service in all distribution equipment, engineering specifications, safety requirements, NEC and applicable codes and regulations.
- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Works routinely with electrical distribution gear, motors, controls, components, standard devices and wiring.
- Recognizes voltages at primary and secondary levels, exercises proper care and safety precautions when working with all voltages.
- Maintains safe and orderly working conditions and performs work in such a way as to not endanger oneself of fellow employees.
- Responsible for cleanup and general housekeeping of work area.

- Responsible for keeping supervisor informed of work-related problems and the progress of work assignments.
- Functional skills are in the areas of electrical and electronic plant systems.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent (vocational school in a related field is a plus)
· Minimum 3 years working in an industrial environment.
· Able to use and maintain hand tools, and proficient with electrical diagnostic tools.
· Lock Out Tag Out experience and knowledge in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
Candidate must be able to work around hot metal equipment, and on lift equipment in the building, ceilings, and on the building roof. And must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
